My Dad was the one who gave me a home.
With my two brothers I shared a room.
We grew up in a semi-detached cul-de-sac in Renmore.
127 was the number on the door.
Dad was up early for work everyday.
UCHG as a chef Monday to Friday.
He'd come to my matches, come hail or rain.
I think he enjoyed watching the games.
When I would need money he'd give me a loan.
He liked a can of Guinness in the evening at home.
On the weekend he'd bring us out for a walk.
We'd stop of for refreshments , a chat and a talk.
Holidays in the summer to places we didn't know.
Often to Killarney we would go.
I love my Dad and hold him most dear.
He kept my youth special and everything clear.
I wish my Dad the best and pray for him each day.
He's helped my in life, in numerous ways.
He is a great husband and also a great father.
He can give guidance, whatever is the matter.
